NAM, Nebraska Table, and CSN Candidate Questionnaire

As we look ahead to the election on November 3rd, 24 State Senate seats are on the ballot here in Nebraska. NAM, in partnership with the Nebraska Table and Coalition for a Strong Nebraska, sent out a candidate questionnaire to all of the Nebraska State Senate candidates. The questions are as follows:

• What experience do you have with nonprofits, and what will you do to support the nonprofit sector?
• The state budget will again require work to address a significant shortfall. What do you believe needs to be done to address our budget problem?
• How do you believe nonprofits will be impacted during the budget process and what will you do to protect nonprofits during this time?
• Nebraska nonprofits are often looked at to fill the needs gaps created by state funding cuts. However, there have been significant funding cuts that severely impact nonprofits’ ability to do so. How do we meet the needs of Nebraskans who are struggling?
• How do you intend to keep elections safe, secure, and accessible in Nebraska?
