Ivy Svoboda

Ivy Svoboda, MSW, serves as the Executive Director and founding leader of the Nebraska Alliance of Child Advocacy Centers, which delivers statewide leadership in the fight against child abuse. The Nebraska Alliance supports Nebraska’s seven fully accredited Child Advocacy Centers. With over three decades of experience serving children and families, and nearly twenty years devoted to these centers, Ivy is a recognized leader in advancing child welfare systems. She works collaboratively with partners across all levels, focusing on development, sustainability, and system improvements through advocacy and public education to advance the mission: “to enhance Nebraska’s response to child abuse.”
Ivy is deeply involved in several significant statewide groups, such as the Governor’s Commission for the Protection of Children, the Nebraska Attorney General’s Nebraska Human Trafficking Task Force Advisory Board, and the Nebraska Supreme Court Commission on Children in the Courts. She also participates in multiple other statewide and national collaborative work groups and serves on the Midwest Regional Child Advocacy Center Advisory Board.
In 2025, Ivy was elected to serve a 3-year term on the National Children’s Alliance (NCA) Board of Directors representing the Chapters across the nation. She has served as a Child Advocacy Center Site Reviewer for the NCA since 2009 where she reviews centers nationwide to ensure they comply with accreditation standards. Her national experience enables her to bring best practices back to Nebraska.
A proud University of Kansas alumna, Ivy earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in social work. She is also a graduate of NAM’s Executive Institute and a Class XVI graduate of Leadership Nebraska, a program that connects professionals to strengthen communities and address the state’s most pressing challenges collaboratively.
