The Omaha STEM Ecosystem (OSE) will host its final STEM Connect Series event of the year “Lighting the Spark - The Study of Movement.”
The free event will introduce students and young adults to fascinating STEM careers that involve the study of movement, from athletic training to astrophysics.
The event’s goal is to inspire and ignite curiosity to help students and young adults discover their passion. Students will engage with a variety of diverse organizations that represent a wide array of movement-focused professions – UNO Biomechanics, MCL Construction, Metropolitan Community College Physics, Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium, SAC Museum, Olsson, CTi, Boys Town Institute for Human Neuroscience and Cox. In addition, young, local professionals will share their compelling career success stories.
Through its STEM Connect Series, the Omaha STEM Ecosystem and its network of community partners provide resources and support to help students and those who look for a career change find their passion and facilitate conversations within business and education sectors.
Event registration is available via Eventbrite. There will be networking, a keynote speaker, information booths, breakout rooms and a raffle drawing.
