How CFOs Are Using AI Today… and Tomorrow (Partner, Virtual)
Virtual Training
Event Details
With all the talk about AI (artificial intelligence), many nonprofit leaders are feeling overwhelmed and unsure where to start. Technology is advancing so rapidly that you may feel afraid of falling behind. This session will provide examples from finance and technology professionals who can speak to how they are using AI in daily work to improve efficiency, reduce burnout, and better serve their organizational mission. This will be a safe place to ask the “dumb” questions and share ideas. By the end of the session, participants will be equipped with one to three actionable steps for immediate adoption of AI within their own organizations.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify practical, nonprofit-relevant AI use cases CFOs and finance teams are using today to improve efficiency, reduce burnout, and support mission outcomes.
- Describe where AI fits in common finance workflows (e.g., budgeting/forecasting, variance analysis, reporting, narrative drafting) and what “good use” looks like in day-to-day work.
- Recognize near-term trends in how CFOs are expected to use AI in the near future (automation + decision support) and how to prepare the organization for that shift.
- Create 1–3 actionable next steps for immediate AI adoption within participants’ own organizations.
Session hosted by NAM partner, Minnesota Council of Nonprofits
