Federal Policy Training
The federal policy and advocacy training is for Weitz and Lozier grantees and is by invitation only. The one-day training will cover the basics of our federal system of policymaking and how to navigate and advocate at the federal level, learning from congressional delegation staff, lobbyists, and other advocates. You will also have an opportunity to network with other policy and advocacy organizations that work on similar issues. Demand for this event is expected to be high. Therefore, please limit registration to 1 person per organization. If spots are still available on June 23, you may register a second staff person. Due to anticipated demand, if you register for this event and are unable to attend, please either send a substitute or cancel your registration to allow someone else to take your place. Thank you!
Parking: Parking stalls have been assigned in Lot E for your guests that do not have UNO permits. Reserved parking is limited- please carpool! Guests with UNO permits - students, faculty and staff - are asked to park in their usual lots to make room in Lot E for off-campus visitors. Attendees needing parking should pull up to the Lot E booth and give the attendant the name of the meeting- the Weitz and Lozier Federal Policy Training. The attendant will then let them park in Lot E, or, if the lot is full, issue instructions on where to park.
Questions: For all questions, please contact Renee Fry.
