Professional Bio
TAMMY MORRIS assumed the role of Executive Director at the Hamilton Community Foundation in February 2019. Concurrently, she manages human resources, marketing, and retail merchandising at Jim’s U-Save Pharmacy, which she co-owns with her husband.
With a career originating in child welfare and juvenile justice, Tammy has three decades of experience in leadership development, management, and fund development across Nebraska's public and private sectors. Tammy has led numerous fundraising campaigns and public art installations in Central Nebraska and has also served as an adjunct professor at Doane University.
Tammy earned her Master of Science degree in Criminal Justice with a focus on Public Administration from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. She is an alumna of Leadership Tomorrow Aurora and the Nonprofit Executive Institute of the Nonprofit Association of the Midlands (NAM). In Aurora, Tammy has served on the Aurora Development Corporation Board of Directors, Poco Creek Golf Course Board of Directors, and the Aurora Chamber Small Business Network. Additionally, she has proudly served as a Rotarian for two decades.
At the statewide level, Tammy served as a grant reviewer and Governor-appointed commissioner on the Nebraska Commission for Housing and Homelessness. She currently holds the position of Vice President at the Heartland Council of Community Foundations and is also a member of the Charitable Gift Planners of Nebraska and the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
Tammy views herself as a lifelong learner and is dedicated to actively engaging in and contributing to her community. Outside of her professional endeavors, she cherishes time with family and friends, and enjoys hobbies such as cooking, golfing, and travel.
