Lisa Jackson, MS

Lisa describes herself as a community connector and creative catalyst with a deep love for the arts and education. Her passion took root in childhood, blossomed in young adulthood, and bloomed in 2006 when she landed my first book deal with an international publisher. Since then, she has written 6 books, produced, and directed 16 original stage productions, and expanded into writing and producing for television. Whether she's in the classroom or the writer’s room, storytelling is at the heart of everything. Through the power of the written word, she's taught learners from middle school to college — including adult ESL — and is passionate about helping others discover and express their unique voices through writing, performance, and film. When she's not writing or teaching, you’ll find her digging in my garden, experimenting in the kitchen, lost in a good book, or exploring the world with her husband and our two daughters — always in search of great food, meaningful connections, and unforgettable stories.
