Organization Overview
Originating in 2018, Ironhawk Juniors Triathlon Club is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that was formed from a belief that participation in sports and physical activity can be a great enhancer of an individual’s life. We developed a strategy that served the vision of getting young girls moving, serving those who want to get fit, and inspiring those who need uplifting. The goal was to give back to the community by coaching and mentoring those who may not have the means to participate in multi-sport activities or who could only imagine doing a triathlon. IHJ strives to be an ethnically, economically, socially, and physically diverse youth organization. We provide a free 7-week summer program for girls aged 7-14. IHJ provides free equipment a Junior would need to participate in the program (swimsuits, bikes, helmets, shoes). The program ends with a triathlon. We celebrate the accomplishments of all our Juniors.
