Emily Pineda

Emily Pineda is the Founder and Executive Director of Ritmo y Raíz, a community-based nonprofit using dance, culture, and movement to strengthen connection, identity, and belonging. Rooted in Lincoln, Nebraska, her work centers Latino cultural traditions while creating welcoming spaces where youth, families, and community members can gather, express themselves, and build meaningful relationships.

Emily brings a collaborative, community-driven approach to leadership, working alongside artists, mentors, and advocates to develop programming that uplifts culture and creates opportunities for young people to grow in confidence and pride. As a mother, grandmother, and community organizer, she is deeply committed to building spaces where culture is celebrated and community can thrive.

Through Ritmo y Raíz, Emily continues to grow a movement that honors cultural roots while empowering the next generation.
