Daren Waters

Daren Waters Jr. serves as the Director of Strategic Partnerships at Omaha by Design, where he leads relationship development across civic, nonprofit, and private sectors to advance people-centered urban design throughout the Omaha metro. Prior to this role, he served as the North Omaha Economic Development Manager at the Nebraska Department of Economic Development, focusing on neighborhood revitalization, access to capital, and inclusive growth.

A U.S. Air Force veteran and community advocate, Daren is also the founder of Omaha Fit Fam, a grassroots movement that uses athletics to connect residents and promote community well-being. His work lives at the intersection of equity, design, and opportunity, and he is passionate about helping people and places thrive together.
