Professional Bio
Originally from Omaha, Becca returned in fall 2024 and began volunteering with Refugee Women Rising. She earned a bachelor’s in African American Studies and Political Science with minors in Anthropology and Spanish from Saint Louis University. Passionate about public policy, public health, and education, she served as President of The Society of African American Studies, organizing events like a Black Maternal Health Panel. Her work as a Servant Leader Intern for Children's Defense Fund Freedom Schools led to an internship at Teaching for Change, where she fought book bans. In 2023, she joined Jesuit Volunteer Corps Northwest, serving as the community program coordinator for Spokane County Bar Association’s Volunteer Lawyers Program. There, she coordinated pro-bono legal clinics and fostered community connections. Becca plans to pursue a JD to address public policy issues affecting marginalized communities. In her free time, she enjoys dancing, basketball, baking, and rowing.
