Organization Overview
Mission:
TradesLink Foundation empowers incarcerated individuals, veterans, and high school students to successfully transition into the skilled trades workforce. We provide training, career pathways, and support systems that build sustainable employment and reduce barriers to opportunity.
Vision:
A future where every individual—regardless of background or circumstance—has the skills, confidence, and support to thrive in the American workforce, strengthening families, communities, and industries.
Core Focus Areas:
• Reentry & Workforce Transition: Equipping justice-involved individuals with tools and pathways for successful reintegration.
• Veteran Workforce Development: Supporting veterans in leveraging their skills for stable, high-paying careers in trades.
• Youth Career Pathways: Connecting high school students to alternatives beyond traditional college routes, preparing them for in-demand careers.
• Partnerships & Grants: Leveraging Department of Labor and state-level workforce programs to expand access to training and career placement.
What We Do:
• Deliver training and mentorship programs that align with industry demand in plumbing, electrical, welding, HVAC, and construction.
• Partner with trade unions, employers, and community organizations to build direct pipelines into employment.
• Provide holistic support (mentorship, job readiness, life skills coaching) to ensure long-term success.
• Advocate for equity in workforce development, ensuring underrepresented groups gain access to opportunity.
Who We Serve:
• Returning citizens (justice-involved individuals)
• Military veterans transitioning to civilian employment
• High school students exploring trade careers
• Employers seeking a reliable, skilled workforce
Why It Matters:
More than 34 million Americans work in the trades, yet gaps in workforce development and barriers to entry persist. TradesLink Foundation bridges these gaps, reducing recidivism, and strengthening communities
