Anna Ash

AnnaCarrie Ash was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska. After attending Creighton University for a year, she enlisted in the United States Coast Guard in 1986. While striking boatswain mate aboard her first ship, USCGC FIR, she was selected for the four-year Coast Guard officer’s academy in New London, Connecticut. After graduating with a BS in Government, she began her seagoing career serving aboard United States Coast Guard Cutters SENECA, CHASE, JARVIS, OCRACOKE, MORTHENTHAU, and MUNRO. Commander Ash retired from the Coast Guard in 2015 after serving 29 years. Her final tour was as Chief of Personnel at USCG Base Boston. Throughout her career, she has personally been awarded the Meritorious Service Medal, eight Commendation medals, five achievement medals, and many unit awards for service worldwide. Most recently, she graduated from Full Sail University with a degree in Show Production, specializing in audio, lighting, LED displays, and stage setup for live performances. She continued at Full Sail and graduated as valedictorian with a master’s degree in Business Entertainment.
