Professional Bio
Best known on the Husker Radio and TV Networks as a talk show host/game day commentator from 1993-2000 and from 2002-2008 as the radio play-by-play voice of Husker Sports, Rose was recruited into the Development and Non Profit space and has made a major impact in his community.
First as Director of Major Gifts for Husker Athletics, Rose's efforts led to the completion of the East Stadium Performance Lab, Hibner Soccer Stadium, the Dillon Tennis Complex and numerous internal projects and initiatives. He then founded J Rose Partners to lend expertise and guidance to existing and emerging non profits, foundations and organizations.
Rose led the Nebraska Greats Foundation through a period of unprecedented growth and impact, led the development efforts in the building of the Nebraska Multi-Sports Complex in LaVista including securing a 15 year naming rights agreement.
J Rose partners currently provides services and strategy to The Stella-Olson Foundation, FCA of Omaha/SW Iowa, the Houston Alexander Foundation and a number of local families and individuals who have launched philanthropic missions plus numerous large community projects in Greater Nebraska.
Rose was named an outstanding Alumnus of the University of Nebraska College of Journalism and Mass Communications and a distinguished Alumnus of Lincoln Southeast High School.
Rose is former adjunct professor of marketing and communications with the University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Journalism and Mass Communications and at the Meek School at the University of Mississippi.
Rose serves or has served on the Board of Directors of the UNL Alumni Association, the NAMC, the Greater Omaha Sports Hall of Fame, the Nebraska Greats Foundation and the Nebraska State Hall of Fame Commission.
