Developing Your Development
April 17, 2014

What do you need to have in place to succeed?

Take part in an active dialogue with Hillary Nather-Detisch, Director of Development at Joslyn Art Museum, that focuses on the development office essentials needed for any nonprofit organization – from a small, grassroots start-up to and organization that has been operating for years but many need to spruce up/revise policies and procedures.

This session will address development office essentials, proper tools and techniques for following up with donors, a discussion around donor cultivation versus solicitation, and fundraising ethics.

Hillary is currently employed as the Director of Development at Joslyn Art Museum, where she joined the staff in March 2014. Her job responsibilities include overseeing all fundraising and philanthropy work to collect and preserve visual arts of the highest quality as well as foster appreciation and enjoyment of art for the benefit of a diverse audience. Hillary has over thirteen years' experience professionally fundraising as well as grant making in various organizations in the Omaha community.
