Strategic Relationships and Conversations, a 3-part series
Join the Omaha Community Foundation (OCF) and the Nonprofit Association of the Midlands (NAM) and for a three-part series that will explore strategic conversations, how to promote understanding of overall nonprofit networking, collaboration, and the strategic alliance continuum. This series will examine readiness, phased processes, negotiating tips and forms associated with shared services, mergers, affiliations, acquisitions, and possibly even dignified dissolution.
Please note due to the possible sensitive nature of this topic all registrations and participants will be anonymous for these webinars. These sessions will not be recorded. We recommend that you register for all three for a comprehensive look at this topic. The first two sessions are sequential and those that do not attend the first session but not the first session, will be at a learning disadvantage. The first two sessions will be facilitated by Doug Sauer, CEO of New York Council of Nonprofits an expert in this area. The third session, a panel of local leaders who have gone through this experience will be moderated by Anne Meysenburg. Stephanie Mattoon with Baird Holm will participate in all three sessions to offer her expertise with nonprofit legal issues.
September 17th, 1:00 – 2:30
Now that we understand the possibilities, practices, and pitfalls we will hear from a panel of local nonprofit leaders who have experienced mergers, acquisitions, or dissolution. They will share their experiences, lessons learned and surprises about the process they went through. We will also have a local attorney who specializes in nonprofits and can go into detail on Nebraska law.
* thanks to the Omaha Community Foundation for underwriting this series. Their support allows each session at no charge to NAM members and only $10.00 per session for not-yet members.
