Come join community activist and EDI Trainer, Katherine MacHolmes, to discuss Race, Bias and Systemic Issues in the Nonprofit Sector.

This session will focus on the ways in which the White Supremacy Culture has permeated the Nonprofit industry, as well as the various ways in which the nonprofit industrial complex and its functions often create barriers to the missions they purport to want to achieve. We will discuss race, bias and systemic issues in the sector. In addition, we will briefly examine the opportunities that exist for anti-oppression in nonprofit leadership at individual and systemic levels.

Presenter Bio:
Katherine MacHolmes is a native North Omahan, born and raised. A graduate of Benson High School, a community theatre artist, writer and lifelong activist and advocate, Katherine also works as an anti-oppression and antiracism educator and trainer. Incredibly passionate about liberation, community healing and art, she finds that collective community processes are the closest form of liberation that we can come to in imperfect systems.
