HBE (formerly Fuhrman, Smolsky & Furey, P.C.) invites you to join us for an educational roundtable session for not-for-profit finance and accounting leaders on Monday, September 16, 2019. The session will be held at the Nonprofit Association of the Midlands training room from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and lunch will be provided.

About This Session

HBE has provided services to the nonprofit community since the founding of our firm in 1974, and the industry is currently the largest served industry area in our practice. Through years of working in this sector, we have developed significant fluency in the specialized operational and business issues faced by nonprofit organizations, including common pitfalls to sustainability. In this session, we will highlight some of those pitfalls and we will provide guidance on how to overcome these obstacles.

Learning objectives:

  • Best practices for building a reserve.
  • How to develop and implement an investment policy statement.
  • Best practices for how to safeguard resources.

As part of our presentation, we will provide a sample liquidity policy, a sample reserve policy, a sample investment policy, and a sample dashboard report. Following the presentation, attendees will be able to begin taking steps to implement these resources if they do not already exist within their organization, or use them to compare and/or enhance their existing resources.

Register Now!

Participation is FREE and open to both HBE clients and guests. Please feel free to forward this invitation to others you know who would find this session valuable.
