Anne Hindery is the CEO of the Nonprofit Association of the Midlands (NAM). NAM is the State Association that serves nonprofits of all sizes and missions that works to strengthen the collective voice, leadership, and capacity of nonprofit organizations to enrich the quality of community life throughout Nebraska and SW Iowa.
Hindery came to NAM in 2008 with a unique background in nonprofits, philanthropy and community work including Program Director for the Omaha Community Foundation, Operations Director, for Alegent Health’s Community Benefit Trust, Law Enforcement Coordinator for the United States Attorney's Office, Nebraska District and Grant Writer for the City of Omaha. She has more than twenty-five years’ experience in public and nonprofit sector program development and management.
Active in her community, Anne serves on the University of Nebraska at Omaha Chancellor’s Strategic Planning Steering Committee, Board Treasurer for the National Council of Nonprofits and is on the Board of the Community Services Fund of Nebraska. Hindery formerly served on the Omaha branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. Anne received UNO’s College of Public Affairs and Community Service Alumni Award for Excellence in Public Service and the Directors Award for Superior Performance in Law Enforcement Coordination from the Executive Office for U.S. Attorney’s. She was recognized at the Nonprofit Administrator of the Year (2017) by the American Society for Public Administration (ASPA-NE) She is a proud graduate of Leadership Omaha Class of 28, an alum of the Nonprofit Executive Institute Class 3 and Class 2 of the Great Plains Public Health Leadership Institute.
A Missouri native, Ms. Hindery received her Bachelor's degree from Creighton University and Master's in Public Administration from University of Nebraska at Omaha.
Financial Services Director
Tracy Shutt earned a B.A. in Business Administration, Accounting from Hastings College, and comes to NAM with over 20 years nonprofit accounting experience. Tracy has lived and worked in Florida, Colorado, Nebraska and Tennessee for nonprofit agencies ranging from a health system, to foster care service and at-risk kids, to an art-house cinema; she even has experience working for the Colorado Nonprofit Association, a state association like NAM, out of Denver, CO.
She has extensive experience preparing monthly financial statements; developing and implementing accounting systems, policies and procedures; grant tracking and reporting; budgeting; and audit prep. Tracy was also part of the team that developed the “Dirty, Sexy Money” series offered by NAM. Her involvement with various strategic initiatives helps to bring insight to her work and decision-making process.
In warmer months, Tracy enjoys playing golf.
Rosey earned her BSW and MSW degrees from the University of Nebraska Omaha, where she also serves as an adjunct instructor in the Grace Abbott School of Social Work. She has extensive and varied experience in Omaha’s nonprofit community, including work in child welfare, domestic violence, homelessness, intellectual and developmental disability, HIV prevention, and mentoring as well as development, program evaluation, and strategic planning. She has a passion for collaborative work and capacity building.
Kelly KoepsellMember Services Director

Kelly earned a B.A. in Earth Sciences from the University of Northern Colorado, when he also received a commission in the Air Force. As an air traffic control officer, he has lived or worked in 24 states, 26 countries and on 5 continents. He earned a Master of Aeronautical Science degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and graduated from the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College at Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas. Kelly has been a graduate teaching assistant and adjunct faculty in the Geography Department at the University of Nebraska-Omaha, teaching physical geography and geographic information science. He earned an M.A. in Geography from UNO. Kelly is presently enrolled in the Master of Public Administration program at UNO.
Hannah YoungPolicy and Events Manager

Hannah received her Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from Northwest Missouri State University in December 2013. She completed an internship at the Missouri Statehouse in the office of Missouri State Senator Jamilah Nasheed in May 2013. She has also worked at Millard Central Middle School as a paraprofessional assisting in the education of at-risk children. In 2016, she earned her Masters of Public Administration degree from UNO.
Executive Assistant and Operations Coordinator
Abby, an Omaha native, received her Bachelor of Science degree in Community Health Education from the University of Kansas in 2015. With a passion for community development and public health, she has experience with a variety of organizations including Food Bank for the Heartland coordinating youth summer feeding programs, as an intern at the Lawrence-Douglas County Health Department implementing programs for tobacco cessation and active transportation and most recently, she served as an AmeriCorps member at Harvesters – The Community Food Network in Kansas City, MO. She is currently enrolled in the Master of Public Health program at the University of Nebraska Medical Center with a concentration in Health Promotion.
Membership and Information Specialist
Thaddaeus graduated from Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kansas, with a B.A. in English and History. He then relocated to New York City in 2010 as a program consultant for The Paley Center for Media assisting with membership, background research and event production. Thereafter he completed multiple projects as a technical assistant with The Committee to Protect Journalists. He was promoted to Office Manager and Assistant to the Editor of Innovation in 2011.
Additionally, Thaddaeus has worked on various political campaigns with The Working Families Party and New York Communities for Change, coordinating and leading grassroots, community-building efforts where he specialized in fundraising, recruitment, voter turnout and union building. In 2015, he returned to the Midwest to further his education in the Masters of Public Administration program at UNO.
