In the last two years, Creighton University has provided grant money to fund 25 internships for Creighton students with 15 different non-profit agencies in Greater Omaha. This year's grant will support 12-15 summer internships for the summer of 2010. These paid internships are funded on a 50/50 cost share basis.
The essence of the program is to:
· Expose students to the myriad of professional positions that are available to them in the non-profit sector of our economy.
· Provide substantive, paid internships in the non-profit sector.
· Allow a Creighton student to build his/her resume with internship experiences without having to also work wage paying jobs in the summer.
