Provider’s Network serves home-based, licensed child care providers

throughout Nebraska

Provider's Network, Inc.'s mission is to nurture Nebraska children by helping child care professionals provide good nutrition, a safe environment, and high quality care in their communities. Provider's Network, Inc. supports members with training, tools, and resources to help them enhance their services and grow their businesses.  Our mission is also to reach parents utilizing childcare for their children to insure they understand the benefits of proper nutrition and the utilization of licensed daycare homes.

Provider’s Network, Inc. (PNI) is a USDA Child & Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) sponsor, serving home-based child care providers in 38 Nebraska counties by providing cash reimbursement to licensed or license-exempt care providers for nutritious meals served to children 12 years of age and younger. From its inception, PNI has been concerned with promoting self-sufficiency, acculturation, and quality child care among Nebraska’s refugee, immigrant, and low-income populations, and we have committed many resources toward this goal. Our staff includes a Spanish speaking program advisor, and we offer CPR/First Aid classes in both English and Spanish.  Additionally, PNI offers free or low-cost child care training courses, which provide the information and resources needed to establish home-based child care microenterprises. In 2013 alone, PNI trained 42 refugee women and more than 150 individuals in the past three years.

This year, the USDA released the new meal pattern requirements for licensed childcare providers.  We want to insure a smooth transition for both childcare providers, as well as parents and children attending daycare.  We feel education is key and proper nutrition early in a child's life is imperative to their growth and future.
