We concentrate on two key areas: education and support of research. Since 2000, we’ve worked to support the efforts and accomplishments of Nebraska-based medical researchers, science educators and young collegiate scientists. In particular, we have advocated for stem cell research, therapies and cures in Nebraska. Under our new name – Nebraska Coalition for Lifesaving Cures – we continue to advocate awareness across the state for the accomplishments of Nebraska-based medical research and the improvement in people’s lives that research provides. Stem cell research, a relatively new breakthrough, holds the promise of providing treatments and cures for many diseases – including diabetes, Parkinson’s and spinal cord injuries – that affect thousands of Nebraskans.
The Nebraska Coalition for Lifesaving Cures promotes, supports and advocates research to advance our quality of life and economy.
