More Information
Police Athletics for Community Engagement (P.A.C.E. Omaha) is a 501(c)3 organization officially formed in April of 2015. However, the initiative has been in existence since 2005 under the umbrella of the Latino Peace Officers Association. The initiative is a police community relations program designed to help "at-risk" and disadvantaged youth ages 8 to 18 avoid the negative influences of street gangs and the criminal element by providing free organized sports to participants coached by police officers. This helps build a much needed bridge between police and the citizens they serve.
