Foundations of Web Development - for HWS-eligible clients

Interested in a career in tech? Look no further. Web developer training available at no cost to you through AIM Interface School: Highlander. During this part-time, 10-week course starting February 20, 2018, Heartland Workforce Solutions (HWS) eligible clients between the ages of 18 and 24 may apply for a spot in the upcoming AIM Interface School: Highlander course. You will learn the skills to build interactive websites from the ground up.

This course offering is available through a partnership between Seventy Five North Revitalization Corporation and AIM Institute. During this 10-week course, you will learn the skills to build interactive websites from the ground up using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and get an introduction to the WordPress platform. 

Students selected to participate will receive a $500 stipend paid at the beginning ($150), middle ($150), and end of the course ($200)*. Terms apply. Students will only receive the stipend if they are enrolled in the class at the time of the payout. Students also receive a MacBook air, at no cost to them, which is theirs to keep at the end of the course. 

Members of the AIM Institute and Heartland Workforce Solutions teams will work with candidates upon completion of training to connect them with employers for open positions related to the training provided during this course.

Applicants must be:

Between 18 and 24 years old and meet one of the following maximum annual household income guidelines:
1 household member: $12,060
2 household members: $16,240
3 household members: $20,420
4 household members: $24,600
5 household members: $28,780
6 household members: $32,960*
*Add $4,180 for each additional person in the household

or:

Receiving economic assistance such as SNAP or ADC.
