Mental Health First Aid is an 8-hour course that teaches participants how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of and symptoms of mental illness. Learn how you can help friends, family members, colleagues, and others in your community who are developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis. In addition to tools to help the general public, this training will address Veteran specific issues.

PURPOSE:

Learn how you can help friends, family members, colleagues, and others in your community who are developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis.

In addition to tools to help the general public, this training will address Veteran specific issues.


WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

This training is for you!Anyone who wants to understand the risk factors and warning signs of mental health problems and learn strategies for helping your family, co-workers, clients, and community members who may be in crisis.


COST:
$50Includes training materials, lunch, and continuing education credits.


CONTINUING EDUCATION

Nursing Contact Hours and CHES credits are included in the registration fee.
