Description: Whether you’re on deadline or crafting a longer feature piece, data from the U.S. Census Bureau contain countless stories waiting to be discovered by you. During this two-hour webinar, you’ll get an introduction to the annually-updated American Community Survey, with its more than 65 demographic, social, economic and housing indicators, as well as the annually-updated Population Estimates datasets. Then you’ll learn how to access the data from the American FactFinder (AFF) and ensure you’re interpreting them correctly. We’ll give you pointers on how to put together a time series to examine trends, combine datasets and make sure any statements you make are tested for statistical significance.
