Taco Tour for Omaha Gives!
Omaha, NE. –– On May 25th the Nebraska Urban Indian Health Coalition (NUIHC) will host a community meet-and-greet and Indian taco sale to coincide with Omaha Gives! The Coalition will sell homemade Indian tacos while guests take a tour and learn about the services offered at NUIHC’s locations in Omaha and Lincoln. Handmade arts & crafts created by Native Elders and Youth will be on display. Giving stations will be available to guests who wish to donate to NUIHC during Omaha Gives!

NUIHC is a nonprofit organization headquartered at 2240 Landon Court, Omaha, NE. It has been providing healthcare in the Omaha and Lincoln area since 1986. Services include inpatient substance abuse treatment, outpatient substance abuse & mental health treatment, primary medical care, health education, youth substance abuse and suicide prevention programs, youth sex education program, transportation for medical appointments, and a Native Elders program. Native Americans living in the Great Plains Area are given priority for certain services, but other services are open to people of all citizenship, race and ethnicity. Omaha Gives! is a one-day online fundraising event organized by the Omaha Community Foundation and held on May 25 to raise support for nonprofits in Douglas, Sarpy, and Pottawattamie Counties.
