No More Empty Pots is excited to share information about our upcoming collaborative fundraiser with the Nebraska Sustainable Agriculture Society (NSAS). This event will be held on Sunday, November 1, 2015, from 4:30 -7:30pm at the Institute for Culinary Arts on the Fort Omaha Campus of Metropolitan Community College. We are celebrating the Fabric of Local Foods through the people that make it happen: Producers, Chefs and Consumers. Together, NSAS and NMEP will host our first joint rural and urban event recognizing local chefs and community leaders building local foods systems. We are thrilled to announce Robert Egger – founder of the DC Central Kitchen and L.A. Kitchen www.lakitchen.org – as our keynote speaker. Robert will share his challenges and strategies in combating intergenerational hunger and the power of food to strengthen people and communities.
