Four Community Forums have been scheduled to discuss future improvements of transit in the metropolitan area.   

The meetings will be conducted in an Open House format where attendees can review with Metro staff the Proposed Service Improvements.

Metro is seeking customer and community input on the Proposed Service Improvements which include the realignment of routes, route segment elimination, increased route frequencies and hours of service by day type (weekday, Saturday and Sunday).

The Proposed Service Improvements will be posted on the Metro website www.ometro.com Saturday, May 3, 2014; and beginning Monday, May 5th at Metro, 2222 Cuming Street, Omaha, NE 68102 Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM or by calling Metro Customer Service at 402.341.0800 or the TDD line at 402.341.0807.

Interested persons, employers or agencies may present evidence and recommendations orally or in writing.

1.        Person unable to attend a forum or having thoughts after attending may submit comments in writing, by fax or electronically to: Metro Transit – Forum, 2222 Cuming Street, Omaha, NE 68102: fax (402) 342-0949; at www.ometro.com. Comments must be post marked / received no later than midnight Tuesday, May 20, 2014.

2.       Persons with disabilities who have special communication or accommodation needs planning to attend a forum and need auxiliary aids or services such as interpreters for persons who are deaf or hearing impaired, readers, large print or for additional information please contact Metro, 402.341.7560, ex 2300 at least two working days prior to a hearing so appropriate arrangements can be made. Non-English speaking attendees may arrange for foreign language translation by calling 402.341.7560, ex 2300 at least 72 hours prior to the forums.
