Ethics on Trial

April 23, 2014

Scottish Rite Masonic Center

202 S 20th St.

Omaha, NE 68102

Your Body?

Your Choice.

Think Again!

May society infringe upon one’s absolute right to his "bodily security" in order to save the life of one of its members?

Do individuals exist to serve the society as a whole?

Once again the Scottish Rite of Omaha and the Business Ethics Alliance collaborate to produce Ethics On Trial.

This year’s medical themed drama encompasses respect for the individual vs. the good of the society. The stage is set by learning an organ donor has refused to donate, and the intended recipient – his cousin - dies.  Is this morally indefensible??

Join us for the trial where the plaintiff, defendant, judge, and you the jury determine the fate of Ethics.  The debate is rousing, intellectually stimulating and most definitely you will come to understand the complexity and entanglement of a true ethical dilemma.

5:30 – Refreshments and networking

6:00 – Video presentation

7:00 – Ethics on Trial
