Women’s Fund Seeks Grant Applications

 

March 17, 2014 – The Women’s Fund of Omaha is seeking applications from local nonprofit organizations for its 2014 grants. New this year is an Emerging Issues Grant that will fund innovative programs targeting evolving issues affecting women and girls in Omaha. Applications also are being accepted for Community Impact Grants, including a new category for leadership development programs for girls, and the Excellence in Service to Women Grant.

 

A Friday, March 28, workshop will provide details on the application process and tips for applying for 2014 Women’s Fund grants. It will be held from 2:30 to 4 p.m. at the University of Nebraska at Omaha’s Community Engagement Center. There is no charge to attend, but space is limited and registration is required through the Women’s Fund website.

 

Grant information and application forms are available on the Women’s Fund website at www.omahawomensfund.org/grants. Applications are due by noon on Friday, April 25.  Grants will be awarded at the October 23 Women’s Fund Fall Luncheon at the Century Link Center.

 

Since its inception, the Women’s Fund has given more than $1.6 million in grants to local agencies for programs that address the most critical needs of Omaha-area women and girls.
