Description
Background on Series:
Have you worked your way up the organization and now have to do more with finance/accounting matters? Do you need to know enough to oversee those who are responsible for this area? Are you informed enough to ask the right questions and to be able to identify financial/accounting red flags?
Session Five: Audit and Internal Controls
Developing good internal controls is a key component of effective financial management. Attendees to this session will learn: how to develop good internal controls, the role your auditors have in your organization, what you can expect to get from an audit, and the key parts of the IRS form 990. The session will bring together the viewpoints of both the auditor and the financial manager.
