organizational areas to
help nonprofits demonstrate accountability and build capacity.
COMING IN NOVEMBER! The "Community Platform"
The Urban Institute’s National Center for Charitable
Statistics (NCCC) developed the Community Platform to provide web tools for
community collaboration and action. It is an online database, toolkit, and
resource hub that allows communities and their nonprofits to work together in
new and more effective ways. The platform describes, classifies, and maps
community programs, resources, and nonprofits; incorporates census and other
demographic and economic neighborhood-based data; and provides tools for
authorized users and nonprofit organizations to update and enrich information
in the database, share resources, and organize and manage community projects.
A dedicated group of community leaders have been working for over a year to bring this exciting tool to our state. More information, including links to the website, will be made available soon.
